Segusino is a north-east Italian municipality ( comune ) with 1865 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Treviso in Veneto . The municipality is located about 35 kilometers northwest of Treviso on the Piave and borders directly on the province of Belluno .
history
Segusino is one of the sites where relics of the Neanderthals were found . In 983 the place was first mentioned in a document by the Bishop of Vicenza.
Community partnerships
Segusino maintains partnerships with the Mexican municipality of Chipilo in the state of Puebla (since 1982) and with the French municipality of Saint-Jory in the Haute-Garonne department .
