Pederobba is an Italian municipality with 7,375 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Treviso in Veneto on the Piave River .
Pederobba became known through the town of Onigo . The spot was badly destroyed in the First World War when it was at the front and therefore has few buildings worth seeing except for the church with its imposing campanile .
Onigo has about 4000 inhabitants. Today the important national road Feltrina , which leads from Treviso to Feltre , runs around the town as a bypass.
One of Italy's cement plants is located near Pederobba .
Another (fictional) onigo is also the literary hometown of the boy Carlos, who in Brazil dreams of becoming a great football player. See the children's book: Carlos Can Score Goals by Andreas Venzke , Verlag Nagel & Kimche, Zurich 1999.
