Resana is a northeastern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 9,454 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Treviso in Veneto . The municipality is located about 22 kilometers west-southwest of Treviso and about 25 kilometers north-northwest of Padua . Resana borders directly on the province of Padua .

history

In the pre-Roman era, a flourishing community settled in the area of ​​what is now Castelminio (formerly Brusaporco ). In any case, some archaeological evidence suggests it. Archaeological activities in this area have increased again since the 1990s.

traffic

Resana and its train station are on the Trento – Venice railway line . The former Strada Statale 245 Castellana (today: regional road) leads through the municipality. The Strada Statale 307 del Santo (today also a regional road) ended here when coming from Padua .
