Morgano is a northeastern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 4458 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Treviso in Veneto . The municipality is located about kilometers from Treviso at the Parco naturale regional del Fiume Sile and borders directly on the province of Padua . The administrative center of the municipality is located in the Badoere district . The Sile flows through the municipality . The southern boundary of the municipality is the Zero .

history

The municipality has been populated since the 1st century BC at the latest. The first written mention of the place from the 9th century refers to the Martinskirche. In 1234 the castle of Morgano was razed.

traffic

The former station ( Badoere-Levada ) on the Treviso- Ostiglia railway line was closed in 1945.
