Motta di Livenza is a municipality ( comune ) with 10,852 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Treviso within the Veneto region in Italy . It is located about 60 km northeast of Venice .
history
The city has Roman roots. Its first inhabitants were the Paleoveneti. The Livenza River was one of the reasons why a city came into being here. In the 10th century a castle was built to defend the city and its people.
Attractions
The historic center has recently been renovated, and the streets and squares look back to old. The buildings are built in a medieval to Renaissance style.

Sanctuary of the Madonna dei Miracoli
The pilgrimage church of Madonna dei Miracoli was built in the 16th century on a place where, according to tradition, the Mother of God appeared to a poor peasant on March 9, 1510.
