Colle Umberto ( Venetian : Còłe Unbèrto ) is a north-eastern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 5128 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Treviso in Veneto . The municipality is located about 31.5 kilometers north-northeast of Treviso between the Canale Umberto and the Canale Castelletto
history
The battle of Vittorio Veneto between Austria-Hungary and Italy took place near the district of San Martino in October / November 1918 , which ended with the defeat of Austria-Hungary in the First World War.
