Farra di Soligo is a north-eastern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 8622 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Treviso in Veneto . The municipality is located about 28 kilometers north-northwest of Treviso . The north-eastern boundary of the municipality is the Soligo . Farra di Soligo is part of the Comunità montana delle Prealpi Trevigiane .
history
The place goes back to a foundation by the Lombards , who left a fara here under their king Albion in 568 to secure the passage over the Piave .
The small Romanesque church at Col San Martino (in the district of the same name) was built around 1100.
economy
Wine is planted on the hills, especially for prosecco production.
