Ponzano Veneto is a north-eastern Italian municipality comune with 13,034 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Treviso in Veneto . The administrative headquarters are in the Paderno district. The municipality is located about 6 kilometers northwest of Treviso and about 31 kilometers northwest of Venice .

history

Ponzano Veneto is mentioned in August 1077 in a land purchase contract of the Ezzelini family. The municipality has existed since 1807, until 1868 the name was only Ponzano .

Economy and Transport

Ponzano Veneto is the headquarters of the Benetton Group . The administration is partly housed in the Villa Minelli. The community is located a little south of Via Postumia (today's Strada Provinciale 102).
