Follina is a north-eastern Italian municipality with 3715 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Treviso in Veneto and is located about 33 kilometers north-north-west of Treviso in Valmareno on the river Soligo . Follina is part of the Comunità montana delle Prealpi Trevigiane and borders directly on the province of Belluno . The place has been a member of the association I borghi più belli d'Italia (The Most Beautiful Places in Italy) since 2017

history

The Via Claudia Augusta Altinate ran through the village . The Cistercian Abbey (Santa Maria Sanavalle di Follina) in the municipality was built in the 12th century. Its Romanesque cloister is particularly worth seeing.
