The 1963 Trophée d'Auvergne took place on July 7, 1963 at the Circuit de Charade . The race was the 13th round of the sports car world championship this year.
The race
As in 1962 , the Trophée d'Auvergne was also part of the 1963 World Sports Car Championship. The race was driven on the Circuit de Charade, an 8.055 km long race track near Clermont-Ferrand . The race was won by Lorenzo Bandini on one of Carlo Maria Abate reported Ferrari 250TRI / 61 . Abate, who had won the event the year before, had to be content with third place behind Tony Hegbourne .
