Anne-Marie Jaccottet

Anne-Marie Jaccottet (born June 26, 1931 in Saint-Aubin near Neuchâtel ; born Anne-Marie Haesler ) is a Swiss painter .

life and work

Anne-Marie Jaccottet studied at the École cantonale d'art in Lausanne and at the Académie Julian in Paris. Her main teachers were Marcel Poncet and Casimir Reymond. Since 1953 she has lived with her husband, the poet Philippe Jaccottet , in Grignan (Département Drôme) in France.

Her pictures, watercolors and drawings often depict motifs from the landscape in which she lives, and she also draws and paints still lifes . She has illustrated several volumes of poetry and literary magazines ( Revue de Belles-Lettres , Tra-jectoires ). Authors such as Pierre-Albert Jourdan, Paul de Roux, André Ughetto and Yves Bonnefoy have written texts about their work.
