Without any major success in the European Cup, she drove her first World Cup race in December 2001. In the 2001/02 season, she contested seven downhill runs and Super-Gs, but never reached the points. In the next two seasons she only drove one slalom in the World Cup and also concentrated increasingly on the technical disciplines in the European Cup. In the meantime, she has become a serial winner at FIS races and in the 2004/05 season she also achieved the first two podium places in the European Cup and she finished third in the slalom classification, tied with the German Anja Blieninger . From this season she also competed regularly in the World Cup.

Without having previously achieved World Cup points, she finished 18th at the 2005 World Championships as the best Norwegian in slalom. In January 2006, in the Maribor slalom, she achieved her first point win in the World Cup with 18th place, which also remained her best World Cup result. The next races were again unsuccessful, as before, she repeatedly had to struggle with failures or could not qualify for a second run. It wasn't until March 2007 that she scored again and in January 2008 she even made it into the top 30 in three consecutive races, with 20th place in the slalom in Ofterschwang, her second-best World Cup result. For the last time she scored in November 2008 as the 26th of the Aspen slalom before ending her career at the end of the 2008/09 season. In the European Cup, she had recently achieved two top 10 results. In the next winter, the Norwegian competed in a few FIS races.
