Anne Sophie Pellissier comes from a ski-loving family. She skied regularly as a child and started snowboarding when she was nine. In 2007 she completed the Baccalauréat économique et social in Villard-de-Lans and then devoted herself only to snowboarding. “Everything happened very quickly,” she says, “in the beginning I took part in races in the Dauphiné. The good results followed one another and I took part in more demanding races, the France Cup for juniors and seniors, the European Cup and finally the Junior World Championships! "
In December 2005 she won her first European Cup race in Arosa , Switzerland , followed shortly afterwards by her World Cup debut in January 2006 in Leysin at a halfpipe competition and in March in Bardonecchia she became the French champion in this discipline. More victories in FIS races followed, both in the halfpipe and in snowboard cross. In 2007 she defended her national championship title. In January 2008 she achieved her first victory in a World Cup race, again in Bardonecchia in her specialty halfpipe. Up until the beginning of October 2008, she achieved six results in the top ten in this discipline at twelve World Cup starts.
