Anne on Green Gables - Journey to Green Gables (English Anne: Journey to Green Gables ) is a Canadian cartoon from 2005. The film tells the background to the series Anne of Green Gables: The Animated Series from 2001, both are based on the children's book Anne auf Green Gables by Lucy Maud Montgomery , the first edition of which was published in 1908.
action
The orphan Anne dreams of having her own family one day, but is instead given to the orphanage of the tyrannical Madame Poubelle by cruel foster parents. An employee of the orphanage wants to help Anne. Knowing about a sibling, the Cuthberts, who are looking for a child, she sends Anne to see him. On her journey, she meets the squirrel Bailey, who quickly becomes her friend. Eventually Anne arrives at Green Gables Farm, which is on Prince Edward Island .
The Cuthberts actually wanted a strong boy to help them with their field work, and Marilla, the woman of the house, wants to give Anne back as soon as possible. But Anne quickly manages to win Marille's heart for herself. Anne experienced an adventurous childhood on Green Gables, made many friends and was allowed to go to school. But the angry Madame Poubelle has since noticed Anne's escape and tries to bring her back with the help of her two henchmen. The two steal Marilla Cuthbert's valuable brooch and Anne is suspected of theft. She and her friends Diana, Gilbert and Felix try to get the brooch back, but fail. Since Anne is not telling the truth, Marilla Cuthbert now wants to send her away. But suddenly Madame Poubelle appears at the station with the stolen brooch and abducts Anne with her hot air balloon. However, Anne and her squirrel friend Bailey manage to defeat Madame Poubelle. Marilla Cuthbert gets her brooch back and apologizes to Anne.
