Anneliese Junker (born December 25, 1954 in Innsbruck ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ). She was a member of the Tyrolean Parliament from 1999 to 2008 and a member of the Federal Council from 2008 to 2018 .

education and profession

Anneliese Junker attended elementary school in Rinn between 1961 and 1966 and then switched to the secondary school in Hall in Tirol until 1970 . Junker then began a commercial apprenticeship, which she completed in 1973. In the 1980s Junker continued his education through a financial accountant course in 1984/85 and an accountant course in 1985/86.

Junker completed her apprenticeship at S. Pümpel und Sons, a construction company. She worked for this company until 1985 as a payroll processor and accountant. Since 1985 she has been working as an accountant and head of bookkeeping and payroll accounting at Gessler & Co. KG.

Anneliese Junker has been a member of Rinn's council since 1992 and was a member of the council from 1998 to 2003. Since 1993 she has also been the parish chairwoman of the ÖVP, and from 1998 to 2002 she was the district chairwoman of "Wir Tiroler Frauen". Junker has been the district chairwoman of the Austrian Economic Association in the Innsbruck-Land district since 2002 . In addition, she is the chairperson of the "Women help women" initiative.

From March 30, 1999 she was a member of the Tyrolean state parliament, where she was elected in 1999 via the state election proposal and in 2003 via the district election proposal Innsbruck-Land . Junker left the state parliament after the state elections in 2008 after she had not been given a secure place on the list. After leaving the state parliament on July 1, 2008, however, she was elected Federal Councilor by the state parliament on the same day. After the state elections in Tyrol in 2018 , she left the Federal Council. In April 2019, Cornelia Hagele succeeded her as district chairwoman of the Innsbruck-Land economic association.
