Anneliese Lissner

Anneliese Lissner née Dymke (born April 26, 1925 in Remscheid ; †  August 16, 2008 in Erkrath ) was a German philologist and journalist . From 1971 to 1989 she was the first woman general secretary of the Catholic Women's Community in Germany (kfd).

The studied German and philologist received her doctorate in 1951 at the Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg with the thesis The real world in the German magic fairy tale: Studies on fairy tale character for Dr. phil. She then completed a traineeship at a daily newspaper, then switched to the editorial team of a Catholic children's magazine and was finally editor of the Catholic magazine Frau + Mutter from 1959 to 1971 . In 1971 Anneliese Lissner was the first woman to be appointed to the leadership position of the kfd, which had previously been reserved for priests. Lissner distinguished herself as a consistent, competent and courageous guardian in questions about the position of women in the Roman Church.

In addition, Lissner worked in the liturgy commission of the German Bishops' Conference , in the Presidium of the Central Committee of German Catholics and in the Broadcasting Council of West German Broadcasting . For a long time she was also the second chairman of the German World Prayer Day Committee .

Honors

Lissner was awarded the Order of Merit of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia on May 10, 1991 .
