Annelise Thimme

Annelise Thimme (born November 24, 1918 in Berlin ; † April 5, 2005 in Göttingen ) was a German historian .

Thimme was the youngest daughter of the historian Friedrich Thimme (1868–1938); the archaeologist Jürgen Thimme was her brother. She studied in Berlin, Freiburg i. Br. And Göttingen and received his doctorate in 1951 with Siegfried A. Kaehler in Göttingen. Since 1968 she has been Professor of German History at the University of Alberta in Canada .
