Annemarie Schraps

Annemarie Schraps (born August 23, 1936 in Oelsnitz / Vogtland , † October 16, 2009 in Krefeld ) was a German CDU politician .

education and profession

Annemarie Schraps graduated from high school there in 1954 after attending secondary school in the GDR. In 1955 she passed the additional high school diploma in West Berlin and completed a university degree in geology in Braunschweig and Hanover. In 1966 she received her doctorate as Dr. rer. nat. in geology and building materials science. In 1966 she entered the school service as a salaried teacher.

politics

Annemarie Schraps had been a member of the CDU since 1969. She was chairwoman of the Krefeld women's union until 2000. She was also deputy district chairwoman Krefeld and chairwoman of the senior citizens' union of the Niederrhein district. Schraps was a councilor in Krefeld from 1975 to 1994. From 1984 to 1989 she was second mayor in Krefeld.

From 1984 to 1999 she was a member of the Savings Banks Purpose Association Assembly. Other offices: Chairwoman of the Krefeld Women's Associations and Chairwoman of the Sport for Elderly Citizens Association Krefeld. She also acted as the deputy chairwoman of "Donum vitae" Krefeld and the foundation Lebenshilfe Krefeld.

Annemarie Schraps was a member of the 11th , 12th and 13th Landtag of North Rhine-Westphalia from May 31, 1990 to June 2, 2005 , to which she entered via the state list.

Honors

She was awarded the Order of Merit of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and the Federal Cross of Merit for her political work as a councilor and member of the state parliament, as the founder and chairwoman of the sports association for elderly citizens and as a promoter of social activities .
