Annette Dobmeier

Annette Dobmeier (born February 10, 1968 in Tauberbischofsheim ) is a former German fencer from the Federal Republic of Germany who was second in the 1992 Olympic team with the team.

successes

The foil fencer from FC Tauberbischofsheim reached the semi-finals in the individual competition of the fencing world championship in Denver in 1989 and finished fourth. In the team competition, she won the title in front of the Soviet team together with Anja Fichtel , Sabine Bau , Susanne Lang and Zita Funkenhauser . In 1990 the German team only finished fifth, at the 1991 World Fencing Championships in Budapest Bau, Fichtel, Funkenhauser and Rozalia Husti won the bronze medal, and Annette Dobmeier was also the fifth German female fencer. At the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona , Dobmeier was the substitute fencer alongside Bau, Fichtel, Funkenhauser and Monika Weber . Dobmeier came to some missions, so she won in the semifinals a battle against the United Team , the successor to the Soviet Union. In the final against Italy Dobmeier lost two skirmishes and received the silver medal with her colleagues.

For this she received the silver bay leaf on June 23, 1993.
