Annette von der Bey

Annette von der Bey (born June 1, 1965 in Remscheid ) is a German painter and illustrator .

Life

Annette von der Bey studied painting at the Düsseldorf Art Academy from 1986 to 1994 with Jan Dibbets , Tony Cragg and Fritz Schwegler . In 1990 she became a master student of Fritz Schwegler. In addition to her work as a freelance artist, she realizes projects in the field of illustration and design.

Von der Beys pictures are characterized by a fine, detailed painting style in oil on linen. In terms of content, her work deals with the individual as an individual unit and its dissolution in the crowd. Using the principle of repetition and sequence, von der Bey combines images into space-consuming installations.
