The Annie River is a river in the north of the Australian state of Queensland , in the Far North Queensland region on the Cape York Peninsula .

River course

The river has its source around 30 kilometers west of the Running Creek settlement in the Binyo Timber Reserve on the coast of Princess Charlotte Bay . The source is about 225 kilometers northwest of Cooktown . The Annie River flows to the southeast and approaches the coast more and more. In its lower reaches, it flows through the northwest corner of Lakefield National Park and flows into the North Kennedy River in Aloszville , shortly before its confluence with Princess Charlotte Bay.
