Annika-Marie Fuchs (born April 29, 1997 in Cottbus ) is a German javelin thrower .

Career

At the U20 World Championships in 2016 in Bydgoszcz , Poland , Fuchs was eliminated from the qualification. In 2017 and 2018, she finished fourth at the German Athletics Championships . In 2018 she also became German U23 champion. At the end of May 2019, she met the norm for the 2019 World Athletics Championships with a personal best of 62.36 m . In the following month, she defended her national U23 championship title and was used for the first time internationally at the adult level at the European Games in Minsk in 2019 . In mid-July she surprisingly won gold at the U23 European Championships in Gävle with a best performance of 63.68 m, three weeks later 58.61 m reached silver at the German Championships behind Christin Hussong .

Fuchs belongs to the perspective squad of the German Athletics Association and is trained by Burkhard Looks at SC Potsdam .
