Annika Meyer (born May 30, 1994 in Haderslev ) is a Danish handball player .

Career

Annika Meyer initially played in the youth division of the Danish club SønderjyskE . In the summer of 2012, the cyclist joined the Danish first division club HC Odense . In five top division games she scored 14 goals for Odense. From the 2013/14 season, the German-born player ran for Bundesliga club VfL Oldenburg . In the 2016/17 season she ran for Buxtehuder SV . With the BSV she won the DHB Cup in 2017 . In the summer of 2017, she moved to the Danish first division club København Håndbold . With København Håndbold she won the Danish championship in 2018. Meyer has been running for Aarhus United since summer 2019 .

Meyer has played 37 international matches for the Danish national junior team so far, in which she scored 66 goals. In the summer of 2012 she won the U18 World Championship with the Danish selection. At the U19 European Championships in 2013, she took third place. In addition, she was voted the best defender of the tournament. A year later she finished third again at the U18 World Cup.
