Annika Zeyen 2014

Annika Zeyen (born February 17, 1985 in Bonn ) is a German paracycler and former wheelchair basketball player who played for BG Baskets Hamburg. In 2012 she won the gold medal at the Paralympics with the German national team .

Annika Zeyen first played at ASV Bonn , from 2004 to 2009 at RSV-Lahn Dill in the German national wheelchair basketball league and from 2009 to 2013 for the University of Alabama team . At the beginning of the 2013/2014 season, she switched to BG Baskets Hamburg. At the Paralympics in 2012 she was the second best thrower in her team with 88 points and the best preparer with 38 assists.

In 2019 Annika Zeyen switched from basketball to paracycling . At the UCI Paracycling Road World Championships 2019 , Annika Zeyen won gold in the road race in the handbike race and, together with Bernd Jeffré and Vico Merklein, the bronze medal in the relay.
