Anselm Sparber
Anselm Sparber (born May 13, 1883 in Stilfes , today the parish of Freienfeld , † November 26, 1969 in Mals , South Tyrol ) was a South Tyrolean cleric and professor of theology.
Life
Sparber was ordained a priest in 1909, after which he held cooperator positions in Fiè allo Sciliar and Natz , then he was vicar in Pfalzen . He was a teacher at the Vinzentinum and from 1933 professor for church and diocesan history at the seminary in Brixen . In 1939 Sparber was appointed head of the diocesan archive and consistorial councilor.
Anselm Sparber left numerous works on the church and local history of South Tyrol .

- 1965 Walther von der Vogelweide Prize
- Decoration of honor of the state of Tyrol
- A street in Falzes was named after him.
