António José Lima Pereira (born February 1, 1952 in Póvoa de Varzim ) is a former Portuguese football player .

Career

Lima Pereira began his career at Varzim SC before moving to FC Porto in 1978 . During his time in Porto , the defender won the Portuguese Championship four times, the Portuguese Cup twice and the Portuguese Super Cup four times. Furthermore, he was able to win the European Cup in 1987 , but where he did not play in the final. He won the World Cup and the European Supercup that year. He was also brought as a FC Porto player into the Portuguese squad for the 1984 European Championship in France , where Portugal was eliminated in the semi-finals. Lima Pereira was fielded four times and received a yellow card.

In 1988 Lima Pereira moved to FC Maia , where he ended his career in 1991.
