Antonio Martins

Antonio Martins dos Santos (born January 28, 1948 or 1949 in São Paulo ), also known by the nickname Toninho (the Portuguese nickname of his first name Anton ), is a former Brazilian soccer player who mainly played in attacking midfield .

career

"Toninho" Martins played at a young age at CSD Municipal , with whom he won the Guatemalan football championship in 1970 .

After talent scouts from the Mexican club Club América noticed him, they signed him for the 1970/71 season , in which he immediately won the Mexican football championship with the Americanistas .

"Toninho" Martins played for America until 1973 and then moved to Portugal , where he played for Belenenses Lisbon in the 1973/74 season .
