Antonio Carlos de Oliveira

Antônio Carlos de Oliveira (born October 27, 1948 in Campo Grande , Mato Grosso ) is a Brazilian lawyer, economist and politician who represented the states of Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul as a federal representative.

Life

Oliviera is the son of Onofre Antônio de Oliveira and Rosa Nantes de Oliveira. In 1972 he obtained a bachelor's degree in economics in Marília and in 1973 in law and social sciences at the Faculdade Brasileira de Ciências Jurídicas in Rio de Janeiro .

He joined the Movimento Democrático Brasileiro (MDB) party and was elected to the Chamber of Deputies of the National Congress as a member of his state for the legislature from 1975 to 1979 during the military dictatorship in 1974 . From 1979 to 1983 he represented the new federal state of Mato Grosso do Sul, which was separated from Mato Grosso. He moved to the Partido dos Trabalhadores (PT) and ran for governor in Mato Grosso do Sul, but could not win the election.
