Antônio Monteiro Dutra or short Dutra (* 11. August 1973 in Duque Bacelar ) is a former Brazilian footballer.

Career

The 1.70-meter-tall left defender began his career in 1994 at club Paysandu SC . In 1995 he signed a two-year contract with Mogi Mirim EC . After two years for Mogi Mirim, Dutra played for Santos FC in 1997 . But only a year later he moved to league rivals América Mineiro , where he also only stayed for one season. In 1999 he signed a contract with Coritiba FC .

After a brief return to FC Santos in 2000 and a one-year commitment at Sport Recife until July 2001, Dutra dared the leap abroad and moved to the Yokohama F. Marinos in the Japanese J. League Division 1 . In Yokohama he played a total of six seasons (147 games / 8 goals) until he returned to his homeland in 2007 and went to one of his former clubs, Sport Recife. From 2007 to 2011 Dutra was under contract there, played 113 times for Recife and scored three goals. In 2011 and 2012 he was in the squad of Santa Cruz FC and played 15 league games in the 2011 series without scoring. In March 2012 Dutra returned to East Asia and played again with the Yokohama F. Marinos. For the Marinos , he came to 66 league appearances and one hit. The player will play the last game of his career on July 27, 2014 against Nagoya Grampus .
