Antal Nagy (born May 16, 1944 in Budapest ) is a former Hungarian football player . During his career he played in several top leagues in Europe .

Career

Nagy's career began in his native Hungary with Honvéd Budapest , where he played until 1968. In the meantime it has been awarded to Csepel SC . He then moved to Standard Liège in Belgium . In the 1968/69 season he was top scorer with 20 goals and won the championship with his teammates . After that year, Nagy moved on, hired in the Netherlands at FC Twente Enschede , for whom he went hunting for goals for the next three years. In 1972 he left Enschede and played for one season each in France for Olympique Marseille and in Spain for Hércules Alicante . For the 1974/75 season he moved to Germany for Wuppertaler SV . At Wuppertal he was under contract with his compatriot Tamas Krivitz . Nagy completed ten games and was able to excel as a goalscorer twice. Wuppertal was knocked off last and relegated. Nagy moved on, his next stop was the SM Caen in France. He then played again in Belgium for Royal Antwerp .
