Antef

Antef (common transcription: jnj-jtj (= f) ; also vocalized as Intef , Inyotef or Anjotef , German: who brings (his) father with him ) is an ancient Egyptian personal name. The order of the kings is very uncertain, even dynasty affiliation is discussed. What they have in common, however, is that they (with the exception of Antef Sehetep-ka-Re) are only attested in Upper Egypt and ruled shortly before the unification of the two parts of the country by Mentuhotep II Setepenre and Ahmose I respectively.   • An (jotef) , pharaoh of the 11th dynasty, Snefer-taui-ef (maybe only in Nubia )
  • Antef (General) , a senior military officer of the 11th Dynasty.
