Anthony Gobert

Anthony Gobert (born March 5, 1975 in Greenacre, Strathfield Municipality , New South Wales , Australia ) is an Australian motorcycle racer .

Career

Anthony Gobert proved to be a constant talent in motorcycle racing that never really achieved success. His fourth overall place in the 1995 Superbike World Championship with two wins in his in Phillip Island and Laguna Seca was followed by a promising 1996 Superbike season with another three successes (this time again Laguna Seca and both races in Philip Island). An injury alone prevented a better placement than the eighth place overall. The two-time switch to the motorcycle world championship only brought poor results; he was able to prove his skills in the US American and Australian Superbike championships.
