Anthony Stacchi
Anthony F. Stacchi (* 20th century ) is an American film director and animator .
Life
Anthony Stacchi studied film studies at the California Institute of the Arts and graduated in 1986 with a Bachelor of Arts . He started out as an animator and advertising director at Colossal Pictures in San Francisco and then moved to Industrial Light & Magic . As a special effects animator , he has worked on the films Back to the Future (1985), Ghost - Message from Sam (1990) and Hook (1991), among others . He also developed the storyboard for Spirit - Der wilde Mustang (2002). In 2006 he co-directed Jagdfieber for Sony Pictures . In 2007 he switched to Laika . Together with Graham Annable , he made the animated film Die Boxtrolls in 2014, for which he received a nomination for the best animated feature film at the 2015 Academy Awards .
