anti atom aktuell (with the subtitle "newspaper for the immediate shutdown of all atomic plants") - abbreviated to "aaa" - is a nationwide magazine of the anti-nuclear movement .

As a monthly magazine, it appears ten times a year; each issue comprises between 48 and 80 A4 pages. It is published on a voluntary basis by all those involved by the association of the same name based in Giessen as a non-profit company.

The first edition appeared in Münster in April 1989 . The main editorial office has been based in Tollendorf in the municipality of Göhrde in Wendland since November 1997 . This is also where the layout of the newspaper is created. Regional editorial offices are located in Braunschweig and Steinfurt ; further offices in Munich and Leipzig had to be closed in 2003.

The magazine sees itself as part of a social movement and, in addition to the topics of atomic energy and nuclear weapons, also deals with other social issues.

In September 2005 the editorial offices of the newspaper were searched by the police and most of the working materials were confiscated, which led to nationwide protests by journalists and environmental groups. A few weeks later, the Lüneburg district court declared the search to be illegal.

The journal's ISSN is 1436-073x; it is listed under this number in the German Library .
