Antihelden is a German hip-hop band consisting of rappers Dra-Q and Abroo .
Band history
The two over-30s rappers Abroo and Dra-Q formed the formation Antihelden in 2009 and lived out their love for uncompromising boom bap sound and political texts. The first release, Kampf der Veteranen , appeared on March 26th, 2010 via NewDEF / Flavamatic as a limited CD edition and online release . The mixtape consisted partly of archive material from the two rappers, partly of exclusive songs and included guest contributions by international artists such as Termanology , Reef the Lost Cauze , Boom Bap Project , Damion Davis and others.
This was followed by the album Kein Happy End , which was also released in 2010 on the Dresden label NewDEF. The two rappers went back to their roots and, together with the producers Snowgoons and MecsTreem, again value content and the down-to- earth Eastcoast rap sound of the 90s. On Kein Happy End there are also feature guests from the States, such as the rapper Sabac Red, made famous by the hip-hop cult band Non Phixion .
Through appearances at one of the largest hip-hop festivals in Europe, the Hip Hop Kemp in 2010 as part of a tour for the album and various guest appearances on sound carriers by artist friends, e. B. the Snowgoons , with whom they even came to number 92 in the Swiss charts on Terroristen Volk , the older men with their political attitude gained a permanent place in the German rap scene.
In April 2013, the album Piratensender was released on the NewDEF label.
In 2014, the rap crew Ruffiction released the album Ruffnecks , on which the anti-heroes can be heard playing Over & Out .
