Absztrakkt (born October 15, 1979 in Villach , Austria; real name Claudio Naber ) is a rapper from Lüdenscheid . He became known above all through his longstanding collaboration with the producer Roey Marquis II.

Topics of his German-language texts include Buddhism , Far Eastern philosophy of life , spirituality and social criticism , which he often contrasts with textual and visual elements of war. He is a Buddhist himself and therefore transfers a lot of knowledge from his religion into his rap world. In his youth he discovered for the first time that his value system largely coincides with the teachings of Buddhism and began to acquire his own knowledge, first in the form of books, later with his own experiences, as he was fascinated by the Far Eastern culture .

Its name is derived from the German adjective abstract . He justifies the misspelling, among other things, with the stylistic aspect that he "[liked] the idea that Absztrakkt is already abstract".

Career

Absztrakkt made his debut in co-production with DJ Eule in 2001 with the EP Unscheinba aber Da from underground label Put Da Needle To Da Records . This was followed by features such as: B. on the compilations Samsara (2003) and Snapshots 3 (2004) published by Roey Marquis II . The concept album with Roey Marquis II: Deinzeichen! .

Since most of the tracks by Absztrakkt were not officially released, The Holy Rolls , Absztrakkt's collected works from 1998 to 2008 , appeared in late 2008. The LP The Book of Three Rings followed in 2009 and X Tape , the first joint long player of the X-Men clan, followed in 2010 which was also produced by Roey Marquis II.

On December 21, 2012 Absztrakkt released the 80-minute mixtape Mikkelangelo on his label 58Muzik , which contains unpublished material from 1998-2005 as well as various sampler and feature contributions from 2002-2012 and is freely available for download. The label 58Muzik was launched in 2001 by Absztrakkt, DJ Eule and Ruffkidd and was officially registered as a label in 2008.

On October 17th, 2014, the album Bodhiguard, produced in collaboration with Snowgoons , was released . The album is a concept album based on the film Bodyguard . It contains samples from the film. The album debuted at number 37 on the charts.

In May 2015, the LP The Book of Three Rings , which was produced in 2009, was released in a limited version on red vinyl.

Also in 2015 the collaboration album Waage & Fisch was released with the Rosenheim rapper Cr7z , which is available on CD and vinyl and was able to move into the charts in Germany and Switzerland.

After separating from the old label, the Carinthian native has been one of the artists at the label Eine der Wenigen since 2016 .

In 2018 Absztrakkt joined forces with Gory Gore , Illstar and the producer Choplin to form the formation Chidvillas . In October of the same year they released their first joint studio album, Magical Art , which deals with spirituality and social developments.

In mid-2019 Absztrakkt announced its new studio album Abszolut , the first track "Ehre über Ruhm" was published in a video on August 16, 2019 on YouTube. Abszolut was published on September 6, 2019 on Some of the Few .

On October 19, 2019, the Trimurti EP with Absztrakkt was released as part of the Sadhu Militia, an international association with artists from over 20 countries with spiritual text content. Absztrakkt's partner in the Trimurti project is the Colombian Mighty Kalipssus and the entire EP was produced by Anahata Beatspeaker from the USA.

This was followed in the first quarter of 2020 by the Gutsheer EP, which Absztrakkt released together with the singer Infinet Helskin under the project name Nordlicht on the Viking / Nordic Folk Instrumentals by the Danish producer Danheim . For the first time, lyric poetry in the typically modern rap style was placed on Nordic Folk productions and can sometimes be seen as the beginning of a new musical genre.

Controversy

After the video publication of the song Walther , lines of text were classified by listeners as nationalistic and a proximity to " concerned citizens " assumed. It was mainly about the lines “Cursed moralists trying to create a good mood / Yes, what ?! I'm German! You hypocrites wear the kindness masks ”,“ This country is finally getting men who defend themselves again ”or“ It is my civic duty to be a voice / against the planned oppression and the sympathy police ”and“ I am worried because the decline of this one Landes makes me drift more and more into resistance ”. In addition, he apparently refers in the first line of the song to the Buddhist extremist group 969, who are raiding, looting and murdering the country's Muslim minority in Myanmar (“There are 108 shots in Walther 969 / Radical Buddhists become free spirits and Dharma to protect"). In a post on Facebook he denied this accusation: The “9.6.9. in the song refers to the three Buddhist refuge jewels Buddha, Dharma and Sangha, ”says Absztrakkt.

Absztrakkt itself distances itself on the one hand from "Nazis or similar groups", on the other hand it has not yet dealt with criticism that refers to specific lines such as the above. On June 18, 2016, he released the song Who misunderstands me should piss off .

In this song, he accuses his critics of deliberately failing to understand him. In terms of content, he again does not go into their allegations and explains how he deals with critical voices: “If someone writes something that doesn't suit me, I'll delete it. / So don't piss me off with your intellectual garbage. My job is not to meet your expectations. / You can write what you want about me. You do that anyway. / But then where I don't see it, because then it doesn't hurt me. "

This is also expressed in a line that he rapped in blossoms and thorns as early as 2009 : “If I am a Nazi for you, you are only a Jew for me. Do you notice [...] how this shitty behavior only leads to us splitting further? "

In other lines he makes homophobic and ideological conspiracy statements: “But if I say out loud now that women no longer feel comfortable alone on the street, then that is worse than when I say that child-fucking fagots in the Bundestag are talking about crystal meth. Do you look? "And" In 2009 I warned you [...] about the NWO . "

This tendency continued in his song Iron Fronts , which he published as his alter ego Bodhi Balboa . Statements such as: "You create money out of nothing and freeze the accounts [...] You go to freedom of expression, create iron fronts" meet questionable statements that allude to the self-hatred of Germans propagated in conspiracy-theoretical circles: "The social pedagogy of this world power mafiosis [...] She is responsible for the self-hatred of my homies. ”Absztrakkt does not stop at statements that are particularly well-known from right-wing ideological circles and are intended to draw attention to the fact that one should not confess one's nationality:“ Yes, in Germany you can be anything except a German. "

Absztrakkt makes a guest contribution to the 2020 album Ares by rapper Chris Ares , who is classified as a right-wing extremist by the Bavarian State Office for the Protection of the Constitution .
