Antoine-Joseph-Eulalie de Beaumont, marquis d'Autichamp (born December 10, 1744 in Angers , † April 10, 1822 ) was a maréchal de camp .

Life

Autichamp, brother of Jean Thérèse de Beaumont d'Autichamp , became a wing adjutant to Marshal Broglie in 1759 , then major (position as head of regimental administration) in his brother's dragoon regiment. He distinguished himself in 1769 under Marshal de Vaux in Corsica. He also fought as a colonel in an infantry regiment in America, especially off Yorktown and St. Christopher.

He was promoted to Maréchal de Camp and in 1782 appointed Governor of the southern part of San Domingo, from where he returned to France in 1788. After emigrating in 1792, he took part in the campaign in Champagne . Removed from the list of emigrants in 1799, he was privatized in France until 1815, where Louis XVIII. appointed governor of St. Germain, which he remained until the end of his life on April 10, 1822.
