Anton Amon ( March 22, 1862 - September 11, 1931 ) was an Austrian singer of the Wienerlied , theater and silent film actor, and landscape painter .

Life

Anton Amon, son of the Singspielhalle director Anton Amon , was a member of the people's guild for a few years, but went to the theater in 1886. He entered the stage in Iglau for the first time, then was engaged in Bad Hall, Troppau, Karlsbad, at the Deutsches Theater and Pest, where he played first roles until he joined the Association of the German People's Theater in 1889 . He stayed there until at least 1902. Between 1902 and 1925 there was a gap in his résumé, and it was not until 1925 that he reappeared as a silent film actor. He died in 1931. He was buried in the Vienna Central Cemetery in an honorary grave .

In addition to his acting activities, he was also a successful landscape painter .
