Anton Dominikus Beaver
Anton Dominikus Biber (born July 29, 1797 in Ellingen , † April 6, 1863 in Nuremberg ) was a German piano maker. He is a member of the German piano making family "Biber".
life and work
Anton Dominikus Biber learned the craft of piano maker from his father Andreas Clemens Biber . Later he trained his brother Aloys Aegydius Biber to be a piano maker. After further years of training in Vienna and Munich, he founded his own piano workshop in Fürth. He moved this to Nuremberg in 1824.
Biber's instruments were widely recognized at the industrial exhibitions in Munich in 1835 and 1840. Some of them were exported overseas, for example to New Orleans .
