Anton Fuchs (born February 14, 1958 in Cologne ) is a German visual artist , painter and sculptor . He works in Cologne, since 2008 together with the artist Heike Haupt .

In 1982 Fuchs created his first independent artistic works: abstract relief collages, which, with their reduced formal language and the visualization of simple, geometric basic structures, are in the tradition of minimalism. Since 1987, Fuchs has also increasingly devoted itself to combining the materials wax and steel. Based on the Cologne legend of the Heinzelmännchen , he and Heike Haupt developed the series of sculptures Die Heinz Welt , which are visible as Heinz Weg in the public space of the city of Cologne.

Together with Heike Haupt, Anton Fuchs supports the Meschenich children's and youth center, the 1. FC Cologne foundation and the “We help” campaign run by DuMont Mediengruppe GmbH. To this end, in 2011 they created the Peace Army of the Honor Guard of the City of Cologne in 1902 for its 111th anniversary. On their exhibition tour in 2014, the guardsman figures were exhibited in the European Parliament in Brussels, among other places , and raised a total of around 100,000 euros in donations.
