Anton Götz (born May 24, 1867 in Eichelberg ( Pressath ); † November 20, 1946 in Vilsbiburg ) was a Roman Catholic prelate and founding chairman of the Economic Association and LIGA (LIGA Bank eG) .

Anton Götz, often also written as Goetz, studied theology at the Roman Collegium Germanicum and received the sacrament of ordination on November 1, 1893 in Rome . From 1908 to 1925 he was pastor in Arrach and from 1925 to his death in 1946 pastor in Vilsbiburg. He founded the "Association of Catholic Economic Pastors of Bavaria" as the predecessor of LIGA Bank on February 15, 1917 in Regensburg together with 34 Catholic priests. The church members came from six Bavarian dioceses . He is considered the "father" of the LIGA.

As a local pastor, Götz campaigned for the interests of the small parishes in the province. As the incumbent of the parish of Arrach, he advocated that Falkenstein, which belonged to his parish, should have its own parish in 1924. The Regensburg Bishop Antonius Henle elevated the community to a parish.
