Anton Haller (politician, 1907)

Anton Haller (born May 9, 1907 in Hall in Tirol , Tyrol ; † April 15, 1958 in Innsbruck ) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ).

Life

After attending compulsory school, Anton Haller graduated from the shoemaker's college in Vienna and in this way learned the profession of orthopedic shoemaker. Later he also worked as a teacher at the vocational school in Hall in Tirol.

His short political career began in 1945, when he was initially elected Vice Mayor of his home town Hall and in the same year accepted a mandate from the ÖVP in the Tyrolean state parliament . After four years as a member of the state parliament, Haller went to Vienna, where he was sworn in as a member of the Federal Council in November 1949 . From December 1954, he sat on the Federal Council's committee for economic affairs. In January 1957 Haller moved from the Federal Council to the National Council . He held a mandate in him until his death.

Anton Haller was 50 years old. He died in April 1958 of a heart attack .
