Anton Holzhey

Anton Holzhey (born June 13, 1875 in Schwabmünchen , † 1945 in Murnau am Staffelsee ) was a German paper manufacturer.

Life

Anton Holzhey obtained his Abitur at the St. Stephan humanistic high school in Augsburg. He then studied engineering at the Technical University of Munich and became a member of the Corps Palatia Munich in 1896 . After completing his studies as a Dipl.-Ing. he was practically active in various paper and machine factories. Study trips took him to England and America. He became a production engineer at Haindl Papier and in 1902 took over the management of the Schongau plant as factory director . After marrying Theresia Haindl, daughter of the company owner Friedrich Haindl, he became a partner in Haindl Papier. He was a member of the supervisory board of the Hegge paper mill and a city councilor in Schongau.
