Anton Johanson

Anton Johanson (born January 28, 1877 , † December 24, 1952 ) was a Swedish football player and official.

Life

Johanson played for IFK Köping and IFK Stockholm . In 1904 he was one of the founding members of the Swedish Football Association . He worked for this until 1937. Until 1922 he was general secretary of the sports association, then its chairman. After his work ended, he was made an honorary member of the football association in 1937. From 1932 to 1938 Johanson was also a member of the board of FIFA and was a member of the International Football Association Board from 1924 to 1925 . At the same time he was president of the Swedish ice hockey association Svenska Ishockeyförbundet from 1924 to 1948 .

In 1916 Johanson was one of the initiators of Svenska Spelen . From 1917 to 1920 he was also chairman of the Uttagningskommittén , the selection committee for the national team . He was also responsible for selecting the squad for the 1920 Olympic Games .
