Anton Keschmann

Anton Keschmann (born March 12, 1870 in Gurahumora , Bukowina , today Romania , † February 22, 1947 in Waiern , Carinthia ) was an Austrian civil servant and politician.

Keschmann first went through the classic kk civil service career and was appointed district captain of Chernivtsi in 1906 . He also worked for the German Agrarian Party, whose member had been a member of the Reichsrat ( XI. And XII. Legislative periods ) since 1907 . From 1910 he was also a member of the Bukovinian state parliament , where he was elected a member of the state committee. As a German or German-speaking member of the Bukovina, he was also a member of the Provisional National Assembly of the Republic of Austria from October 21, 1918 to February 16, 1919 . After 1919 he campaigned strongly for the German expellees from the former Bukovina . From 1921 to 1934 he was a member and most recently President of the Senate of the Administrative Court . After his retirement he lived in seclusion in Carinthia.

Furthermore, Keschmann was an honorary member of the academic fraternities Arminia and Teutonia Czernowitz until his death .
