Anton Reiser (politician)

Anton Reiser (born February 10, 1869 in Gammertingen , † August 18, 1923 in Tübingen ) was a German administrative officer and local politician ( center ).

Life

Anton Reiser was the son of Gammertinger innkeeper and butcher Benedikt Reiser (1820-1883). He attended the Sigmaringen grammar school, where he graduated from high school in 1889. From 1889 to 1894 he studied law and criminal sciences in Munich and Tübingen. During his studies he became a member of the KDStV Aenania Munich in the CV in 1890 . In 1894 he passed the first state examination and was awarded a Dr. jur. PhD. From 1894 to 1896 he was a government trainee at the Oberamt Ehingen, Stadtschultheißenamt Mössingen and the government of the Danube District in Ulm. In 1896 he passed the second state examination and was from 1896 to 1897 assessor at the statistical office of the city of Strasbourg. From 1897 to 1898 he worked at the Stuttgart State Statistical Office and in 1899 at the Stuttgart Catholic Church Council.

From 1900 to 1921 he was mayor of Sigmaringen . In 1921 he became senior bailiff in the Sigmaringen district office . From 1917 to 1918 he was a member of the municipal parliament of the Hohenzollern Lands , from 1906 to 1919 he was a member of the state committee.

Awards

Reiser was made an honorary citizen of Sigmaringen. In 1916 he received the Cross of Honor 3rd Class of the Royal House Order of Hohenzollern and in 1917 the Cross of Merit for War Aid .
