Anton Vogt (Librarian)

Anton Vogt (born before 1504 ; died after 1529 ) was the librarian of the St. Gallen monastery .

He came from Constance and is attested to as a conventual in St. Gallen in 1509 . From 1514 he was subdean, 1529 kitchen master and librarian. He is the author of the writings Benedictiones, Cantus, Lectiones (1521–1523) and Lectionarium et Collectae (Pars aestivalis) . In the course of 1529 he confessed to the Reformation , although he had sworn under oath on February 20, 1529 to remain with the Roman Catholic faith. He was paid for with a trousseau.
