Antonello Branca
Antonello Branca (born May 15, 1935 in Rome , † June 25, 2002 ) was an Italian documentary film director .
Life
Branca was initially a photographer and journalist ; he worked in Kenya in 1959 and then as a correspondent for L'Agenzia Italia in London . In 1961 he made his debut, Aria di Londra . He then worked for the cultural broadcaster TV7 for four years. In 1965 he made an interview documentary with and about Marcello Mastroianni . In the following year he moved to the USA and intensified his film work; several of his works have received awards. In particular, his 1970 Seize the time about the Black Panther movement caused a sensation. The film won the Premio di qualità dell'allora ministero del Turismo e dello Spettacolo .
At the end of the 1980s he published his results on the subject of "Technology and War" and worked until his death on a project to portray an "alternative history of the USA".
