Antoni Karwowski (born April 14, 1948 in Grajewo ) is a Polish painter of lyrical abstraction and performance artists.

Life

Karwowski grew up in a small town in eastern Poland surrounded by the Biebrza National Park . His father worked as a social worker and in cultural promotion, his mother as a hairdresser. He has a younger brother. His father gave him his first painting lessons. In addition, his Russian grandfather, who wrote poetry and sang old Russian songs, influenced his artistic career.

After graduating from high school, Antoni Karwowski experimented with various art forms in addition to painting. He lived in different places and attended several universities, in the meantime also worked as a miner until he was trained at the faculty of fine arts at the University of Thorn .

His pictures are in various private collections in Europe. He also received orders from companies, for example from a radiological doctor's practice in Dortmund, for which he created a 53-meter-long mural in 2005.
