Antonín Mlejnský (born May 17, 1973 in Prague ) is a former Czech football player . The defender spent most of his career at Prague club Viktoria Žižkov . With Sparta Prague he became Czech champion in 1999. For the Czech national team he played an international match in 2002 .

Career

Mlejnský played for TJ Davle and Okula Nýrsko in his youth. His first club in the men's area was in the 1993/94 season DIOSS Chomutov in the third division. After a year Mlejnksý moved to SC Horní Počernice in the 2nd division , after six months he was committed in early 1995 by the first division club Viktoria Žižkov . There the defender quickly fought for a regular place. In 1998 he moved to Sparta Prague and became Czech champion. Mlejnský could not prevail there, however, and returned to Viktoria Žižkov after one season. There he was one of the top performers and became team captain . He probably had his best form in the 2001/02 season, in which he also played the only international match of his career. In the friendly against Greece on April 17, 2002 in Ioannina , which ended goalless, he came on in the 23rd minute for Petr Johana .

Before the 2004/05 season he suffered a back injury and had to take several months off. In the winter break , he went back to team training, in the last training session before the start of the second half of the injury was renewed, so that Mlejnský finally did not play a single game in the 2004/05 season. He sued his club for persistent wage arrears and the Czech Football Association was right. Because of this matter, Viktoria Žižkov was temporarily not allowed to make transfers . Mlejnský, at odds with the club's management, continued to plague his back injury. It was only after about 30 months, on March 12, 2007, that he made his comeback in the B team, which played in the fourth division. He also scored a goal.
